Mentor Network
The mentor network is a list of people from all walks of that have business knowledge in any area that they are happy to share to support budding entrepreneurs in their journeys. From time to time a start-up may need to be connected with a mentor that can answer questions specific to an industry or skillset beyond that of the Kōkiri team and group of coaches. Specialist Presenters
Many of our presenters come from our mentor network and drop into program from time to time to give guest presentations on specialist topics related to a sprint we may be working through. These are usually delivered via video-conference call with a Q&A session. If you are interested in contributing to the program, register your interest below.
Advisory Boards
Advisory boards are quasi governance boards that wrap around the start-up for the duration of the Kōkiri program. Advisory boards are not to be confused with a formal board of directors. Their job is to provide free and frank guidance, and do not carry the legal or financial responsibilities of a formal company director. If you are interested in getting experience as a board director for start-ups or are looking for start-up businesses to invest in, this will be an ideal opportunity for you.
Kōkiri Team Business Coaches
We contract coaches during the programme to provide moral support, encouragement and an accountability drive for the teams. The coaches spend up to 4 hours per week, per team. We provide supplemental training on innovation tools and techniques and usually do a once a week coach call during programme to compare notes and help each other improve their coaching practice and outcomes.
